A recent watercolor drawing I did for a friend. Just a big, old robot out in West Texas with a mesquite tree for a head.

Weeping Willow Robot in the Swamp
I haven't put any new drawing out into the world in a long time, so I thought I'd share this reason page from my sketchbook. Thinking about making this into a larger drawing.

Finished Painted Sign at Sweetleaf
So earlier I finished up this sign project for Sweetleaf, over in Willamsburg. I've been a bit busy, but I wanted to finally post the images of the final work. If anybody wants to see it in person, head on over to the shop on 135 Kent Street, a couple blocks down from the Bedford Ave. stop on the L train.
And here are a number of detail shots around the sign.
And my signature right at the end.

In Progress Painting at Sweetleaf
I'm currently working on painting a sign on the ramp of Sweetleaf in Williamsburg. It's been a while since I've updated anything, so I thought I'd share a few pictures of the work in progress.
I haven't done any artwork in public since I was in undergrad. It's been strange having people walk by and complement me on the work. Either way, it's been a pleasurable experience, and entire staff over at Sweetleaf has been great. I also have to thank Rich and Nikkita for this gig.
If you're in Brooklyn, the shop is at 135 Kent Ave. on the south-east corner of Kent and North 6th Street, a couple blocks west of the Bedford Ave. stop on the L train.
I'll have more photos when the piece is done. Also, I'll post some more detail shots.

40 Days in Time and Space - Page 8
Regular work is back on track, so here's page 8. The next couple pages should be around shortly, definitely before the end of the month.
Also, a couple sketches from while I was on vacation.

Illustration Station 008 - A few small drawings
These are a few 2.5 in. x 3.5 in. drawings I've been doing over the past week. I wanted to work at a similar level of detail without having the space to develop a large, complex drawing.

Illustration Station 007 - A Couple Random Items
I tried to start this story, but I just drew the first page. It was really just something to get me working again. Maybe the rest of the story will come to me eventually. Maybe somebody else has a good idea on where to go from here.
Also, I did this flyer for a friend of mine. The show is long past, but I thought I'd still put the artwork up here.

Art Post 002
Still just trying to get more of my artwork online. These are a couple more New Saint Trading Cards. Still to come are the Saint of Zombies and the Saint of Kaiju (Japanese giant monsters). I think those 6 will make a really good first set, which means it'll be off to the presses with these guys.

First entry: Art Post 001
Welcome to the Drunken Penguin Studio blog. I don't know what most people would do for their inaugural blog entry, but since this is going to be about my artwork, I think it's best to just start with a couple pieces.
Both of these images are the size of common trading cards. I'm planing on doing a series of prints of these, in the same tradition of wood-cuts sold to pilgrims during the middle-ages.
